Yaser AbuShaban CFA

Yaser AbuShaban is the founder of Silver Peak Capital Advisors, an independent investment consulting and advisory firm that partners with institutional investors to strengthen governance, set clear investment objectives, and build resilient investment strategies aligned with long-term goals. 

Yaser brings over 25 years of investment experience across the United States and the Middle East, working with GCC sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, endowments, and family offices on investment strategy development, portfolio construction and implementation, investment policy and governance, and balance sheet structuring. Prior to founding Silver Peak Capital Advisors, Yaser was a Senior Principal and Project Lead in Mercer’s Investment Consulting business in Dubai. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles including Head of Asset Management at Emirates Investment Bank and Head of Structured Investments at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank.  

Yaser currently serves on a number of investment committees and boards across the GCC, including as Chairman of Bidaya Finance’s Audit Committee and a Supervisory Board Member of Narmo Capital.

Yaser holds an MBA with High Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, and a BA in Economics with Honors from Northwestern University. Yaser is also a CFA charterholder.
